Quick Set Sucker Rig

The unique design  of the Smity Quick Set allows complete mobility and extended sucker life, yet keeps the hooks in a position for a solid set.

Live sucker fishing is a  proven method of catching large muskies all season long, and now thanks to the Quick Set, it can be employed by advocates of catch and release, as there is no danger of deep hooking a muskie using this system.

The Quick Set comes in Large 6/0 Hooks, Small 3/0 and the Spinner Rig in 6 blade colors: Silver-Copper-Fl. Chartreuse-Fl. Orange-Fl. Orange/Chartreuse Stripe - Brass.

Rigging Tips:  To rig the sucker insert small hook by the vent area of bottom fin, then insert small hook in front of the dorsal fon or top fin. Now insert the single hook inside of the suckers mouth and out the top. Put rubber sucker keeper on the hook past the barb.  Now adjust the sleeve on wire so that the front hook is what pulls the sucker. There should be no tension on the trebles at this time. When setting the hooks the two small hooks will come out of the sucker and the power of the set will be on the two trebles and driven into the muskie.
