A lure for shallow trolling or for those who like a straight retrieve. Joined by two 1 ½" stainless steel screw eyes and beveled so that leverage of one end against the other is impossible, the Smity jointed lure is the strongest articulated lure available. The durable, stainless stell ribbed lip does not need tuning.
Designed for lighter tackle, the Smity small jointed diver has same strength and durability of the larger model. The larger 1 ½" stainless steel screw eyes at the joint setup a good vibration, making this a good choice for night fishing and will also take large walleyes.
The shortness of the back half of this jointed lure creates some enormous vibration, different than the other lures. It runs down from 1 to 6 feet with a slow medium retrieve. Best results come by reel, stop, then reel again. Pausing the lure every so often creates following fish to strike.
The small deep diver is the bait to use when fishing deep water. This bait will run down 20 feet trolling or 12 feet on a cast. This is an excellent summer time bait when the big ones are suspended over deep water just above the thermo cline. |
