Smity Bait has added a new shallow water twitch bait to there Musky series of lures. The Twitch’n Smity is 10” in length and weighs 2 oz with 5/0 hooks. It is designed to work shallow 1-3 feet, use short pops of your rod to move the Twitch’n Smity as a dying surface bait fish. Colors available Sucker, Perch, Blue Cisco, Black/Orange Flame, Sunfish, Tiger Muskie, Sunset, Sunrise, Orange Tiger.

Fashioned after the old Striker Bait made by Dick Gries of Woodruff WI. This handmade custom glider from Smity is worth a spot in your tackle box. Twitch the Mercer Creek and it will dance side to side with that dying forage flash the muskie is seeking to bite on.
Roger Sabota of Rhinelander requested Russ to make the old Snodlow surface splash tail from the 1960’s. The Snodlow splash tail is used on quite water which creates a sensational splash and flash. Work slowly during low light hours.
The 2007 Limited Edition Custom 
Smity Bait Company has received copies of Eli Singer’s latest Musky book titled: That Big Fat Musky Book. This book is 664 pages and has some great stories told by some of the best anglers of all time, it also has lots of great pictures of big fish. Some are recent and some from the older days. Chapter 29 is dedicated to Russ Smith of Smity Baits, it has quite a few of Russ’s client photo’s that he has guided over the years as well as my original field test staff from the early 70’s.
